Indira's Tomato Paste is made from the best ripe tomatoes and is a 100% natural thick and red tomato paste with no added artificial flavours, preservatives, colours, sugar or salt. Indira's Tomato Paste makes it easy to add the rich taste and colour of ripe tomatoes to your North Indian dishes, South Indian dishes, Continental dishes, Chinese dishes and many more cuisines. Indira's Tomato Paste can be added into juices, smoothies, cocktails (eg: Bloody Mary) and mocktails (eg: Virgin Mary). Indira's Tomato Paste can also be used for making dips and sauces for all cuisines.
Each kilo of Indira's Tomato Paste is equivalent to 7.5 kilos of tomatoes approximately. Indira's Tomato Paste is stronger than Tomato Puree as the best ripe tomatoes are pulped and concentrated to form a thick and flavourful tomato paste. Tomato Puree on the other hand contains additives like acidity regulators, ascorbic acid and also fillers like water. Tomato Paste has a richer and flavourful taste than Tomato Puree, as its cooked for a longer time and flavours are concentrated. Tomato Puree has a short shelf life, i.e., it has to be used within 4-5 days of opening the pack even under refrigeration, whereas Tomato Paste has a longer shelf life of 45 days once opened under refrigeration. You can dilute Tomato Paste with water to make Tomato Puree, but you can’t make Tomato Paste from Tomato Puree.
